Fragments

Happy New year, everyone. Lets hope work isnt so nuts that I dont really get to celebrate at all. At least nicole works tonight as well, so if its late, we canjust stay after work and have some drinks together or something.

Started reading, Goblet of Fire, its interesting so far. It will be the first one of the books that I have read before seeing the movie, so that will make it interesting as well.

Again, nothing super exciting today. Maybe tomorrow will bring something better. It will be a new year after-all..:)

Super Charger Heaven

My goal? Hit level 50, by next Friday. I think I can do it. I am already part of the way into level 44. With some serious play, and grind time, I should be able to make it.

I can't wait for this week to be over. The business at work is just about all I can handle this week. I want it to end.

I really don't have much to say today. Kinda tired.

Take The Long Way Home.

Woot! A day off. Granted I didnt work on X mas Day, but having to cook, it really didn't feel like I had a day off. Today is kinda nice. Sleeping in till almost noon. First time, in a long time.

The tree has to come down today. Dishes to be done. Fish tanks to be changed. All sorts of fun stuff. Ok, well not all kinds of fun stuff. There is WoW, to be played though. Got to hit 43, and maybe 44 today with the mage.

I am on a mission to hit 60, and kill Onyxia, and Ragnaros, before my old alliance guild gets there. They claimed that I didnt know what I was talking about, or how to play. We shall see. I think I will be well on my way, as I already have more mana, than at least one of the level 60 Mages. Thats going to be my thing. Mana, and mana regen.

I want to work with this pen and tablet too. I really dont want it to be a waste. I want to do something nice with it. At least one thing.

So anyways. No news items really today. Not yet anyways. Maybe if I see something along the way.

Been Gone So Long.

Wow, I've been gone a long time. I tried to make a commitment to writing in here before, and it just didnt work. I'm not sure why. I would really like to do it for real this time.

Christmas was good. I did my first family meal. It went alright. little bit more down to the wire than I had really wanted, but it turned out, and everyone was happy. I think next year if I do it. I would like to start my stuff maybe a day early. I would like to have things a little more in hand. As for this year though. It was the first time, and I think it went alright.

Warcraft. Level 42. I will get 60 soon!. I want to be able to be there, and do things before my old guild, who insisted on thinking that I didnt know what I was doing, gets there. If that sentence makes sense?

I have been playing WoW. NHL 2K6 as well as NBA 2k6, on the PS2. I am really liking both games. I miss the graphics quality of my X Box, but its still nice to play.

Work has been so crazy with the holidays. This is one of the worst weeks to. Everyday is like a weekend. I would venture we did about 12,000 for the day yesterday, which is about what we do on a Firday.

Anyways. Trying to clean up around here. My life that is. So maybe this will help.

Advents Children

So its the day. Advents Children has been released overseas in Japan. Not to anyones dismay I am sure its already on the internet, with the subtitles as well. Haven't had a chance to see it yet. I can't wait though. That's my mission for the morning, is to find it.

Work. Blah. Slow as all hell. I got to leave early, had a couple beers, watched the game last night, which was a nice change of pace from walking around the kitchen cleaning stupid stuff becuase they don't want people standing around.

The other cook and I were discussing women and the preference for shaving, trimming or natural. So after two beers, and full well knowing what I was doing. But I was off the clock, and I figure them seeing me drinking they wouldn't think anything if I asked anyways. Oh, to set it up. We venture that the majority of younger girls go bald. It just seems to be the way to go now a days. So I asked the bartender, my guess was trim. She said......Landingstrip....1-1 for me...:) Now one of the other waitresses, who I could have prolly just come out and asked no matter what anyways. My guess was bald, just becuase that was the impression I got, and she seems the type. She said 'Bald, I don't fool around with all that shit. Just swish/swish, and its done. My lines would be all over the place if I tried to do that shit'. 2-2...:) The last waitress is a mystery since she's new, and she doesnt like me much, so asking would have gotten me fired for sure. So I left it be. My guess though. Shaved. Shes pretty young. 18 I think.

Anyways.

The Great Fish Watch. So after a week of treating my blue fish for Ich, Pop-EYe, and Velvet, he SEEMS to finally be getting better. I was afraid that I was going to have to get rid of him today. His eye, while still large, isnt AS large, and instead of being clear has become opaque. Which I am sure means hes lost the sight in it. All this makes me feel bad about my pet care abilities, but if he makes it. I won't feel as bad.

WoW. Patch Day. Nothing special really. Some cool new events. Fishing Event. New Instance. Some stuff that I really hope I can motivate people to do. The guild seems to be in a funk. Hopefully the return of our guild leader will change that as well. Or maybe I will get booted. Its just a game. Anyways. Out. I will give a review of the FF movie when I find it.

Morning.

So here I sit, in front of the computer, with my cup of coffee and the TV droning on in the background. The weekend is finally over. For those of you who work 9-5 jobs I suppose that sucks. For those of us that work 2nd shift jobs and weekends it's nice.

Friday Night at work. BUSY! Luckily I didn't have to close the place down. I was out by about 10 PM. Nothing major. Saturday night. Man, that felt so much busier than Friday, and it ended up NOT being busier. Normally, grille/sautee/fry, are a two man thing. Me and Dan on Friday nights, and while we dont always get along, we can both do our job usually. We had the owner working fry station, Dan on the Grille and Me on Sautee. We had so many burgers coming in it was crazy. The grille was filled with burgers, which then makes my job normally to set up the plates with the buns the way they need to be sent out. One no mayo, no onion, extra chesse. One with veggies, no peppers. One with Veggies no peppers or onions. One with Bacon and Cheese. Not to mention all different temps. Usually, not a problem. In the middle of all this though, Sautee orders were pouring in. Fettucine Alfredo, with shrimp, with chicken. Broccoli and Chicken. Shrimp Scampi. Chicken Parmasean. ETC ETC ETC. I just couldn't get to the burger sets. I tried. This is where the problems came in. Dan doesnt really like to read the tickets when he puts food in the window. So even when I have the set in the right order he tends to just read the first couple words, and miss the special instructions. Not a problem with 4-5 burgers. HUGE problem with 16+ Burgers going out. Oh well, thats life.

W o W? Eh. Haven't really been playing much. Raided a couple times last week. Stratholme. Upper Black Rock Spire. I did manage to finally get my Onyxia key.

My sick betta doesn't appear to be getting any better..:( Oh well. I have been doing what I could meds wise for him.

Oh well, I think thats all for today. I am going to try and make a commitment to writing here in the morning when I sit down with my coffee. Maybe it will help me make a commitment with regular life as well.

What The Hell?

Ok, I am tired of all this crap going on today. People just need to grow up and start to take responability for what they have done. With the recent re-rating of GTA: San Andreas amoungst the top of them. The game has been re-rated do Adults only 18+ because some hackers mad a MOD that allows you to open up a some crappy soft corn sex scenes that had been 'removed' from the main game. Look, if your worried about some soft core porn, in a game where you have sex in cars with hookers, beat cops and sell drugs, you have a problem. There is more graphic porn in a episode of Desperate Housewives. Anyways. Thats a side issue. Why is it that people always seek to put thier problem on someone else? Violent video games made my son do it. Violent Music made him angry. Violent Movies, and TV made my son kill his mom. No, it didnt. Lack of direction made him do it. Lack of discipline made him do it. I have been listening to heavt metal and such, and playing video games since PONG, and I never did anything that warranted me going to jail, prison, juvi, anything of that sort. Hell, I think the worst I ever did, was steal a couple small toys when younger.

Blah.

For some reason today, I feel really blah. Not sure why. Not having the best of days I guess. Been kinda depressed lately. Dont see it as the weather. It's been rather nice out. I guess thats just the way it goes.
I went and looked around Media Play today for something of interest. Nada. It seems its been slow gaming wise. I am burned out on Warcraft for the most part, and thats mostly due to Guild Issues. To make matter worse GF having problems with her guild, so I talked to a officer and he told me that the things I showed him in guild chat weren't really what I had showed him, and I wasnt there. Little does he know, I was there, sitting right here. Oh well. It's just a game, I need to get over it.
Well, its payday, so that's nice. Maybe that will make things nicer.

Morning.

Well, its morning, and its early. To early for me as a matter of fact since I didnt go to bed, till like 3 Am, and got up at 8. ICK!. Had to take GF to work though so nothing I could do about it really. Oh well. NOthing really major going on. Hit 60 in Warcraft, that was nice. In the middle of a huge arguement about how we should be running high end raid groups, exciting stuff eh?

No concerts really coming up, still trying to manage some money for Ozz Fest. Pistons made it to game 7. I called for Pistons in 6, and had Rasheed not had bad coverage, it would have happened. Oh well. Lets hop the game tonight goes in our favor.

Really want to still get out to see Batman Begins. Crash, and some others. I wanted to rent Hitch the other night, and didn't oh well. The woes of short on funds. I do get a mini vacation in a few weeks, going to INdian River, MI for a few days. 3 really. With my dad, his GF, and my brother and his GF, and me and mine. Should be a nice mini trip.

As for other games, I am really looking forward to picking up 'Destroy All Humans', its supposed to be a great game.

Oh well. Enough for now, I suppose.

Another day, another dollar.

Music: VNV Nation- Standing.

Well, it looks like for the most part summer is really on its way here in Michigan. Its been pretty nice out, minus the few rain showers. The temp isn't hot, but its not cold either, just right. Its Tuesday, which means no Warcraft, so that kinda stinks, I am on the verge of Level 57. Been trying to organize a raid in a higher level instance. Black Rock Depths. Should be interesting. Also found that I need to head into Scholomance to get some set pieces of armour.
Been considering selling my X BOX, that fact that they are thinking about pretty much just dropping any support for it, kinda makes me mad. It's nice to see that Sony has decided to continue support for the PS2, and continue to realease new games. Kingdom Hearts 2, being one of the more important ones I want to see. I think there is another called Okami, done by the Viewtiful Joe people that looks pretty good too.
Bought a bike from WalMart yesterday, and rode my lazy butt to work. Only took me about 20 minutes. Not to shabby. I need to get a new seat for the bike as the one on there is VERY uncomfortable, and its loose as well, so that stinks. I forgot how much I enjoyed riding a bike though. It was nice to just get on, and ride around.
VNV Nation coming to Detroit area on the 8th of June, I will be there. Should be a good show with the release of the new album, just in March. Last time they were at St. Andrews was a great show as well. Maybe I will see about getting a camera in.
You know, I was thinking the other day. Maybe some day when I am old, people will ask me what it was like to live in a society where we were afraid of everyone. Where when we didnt know something about someone, we assumed we did know, and just made things up about them to fill in that space in our mind where the fear existed. WHat it was like to live in a society where everyone else was wrong, and my view was the right one. Are we ever going to be 'man' enough to let people be who they are? If someone wants to believe in no god, why cant they. Why should god need them to believe in him. I just hope someday before I die, we will be able to get along.

ho, hum.

Welp, another day. Yesterday was by far one of the worst days I have had in a long time. I have been planning a dinner for myself, and some family, and I got my menu worked out, as well as a trip to the store to buy items for said dinner. Well, I started to feel sort of icky, came home, and spent the rest of my day sitting in front of the TV trying to play ESPN MLB 2K5, and running to the bathroom like every 20 minutes.... finally after about 6 hours of that, it calmed down, I took a nap and a shower, came back out, watched some TV, played a little World of Warcraft, joined a group of friends, and then it came back...Yesterday had to be one of the longest feeling days I have ever had. Went to bed early, and dragged my butt oout of bed early though, so lets hope today is a better day. Its really nice out, so I am thinking about hittin the frisbee golf course not to far away.
My Menu for tomorrow consists of this so far. Appetizer: Fresh Mozzarella Slices, with Roma Tomatoes, fresh cut basil, a little garlic, drizzzled olive oil, and Salt and pepper. Dinner: Salad, Fresh Seasoned Green Beans, and a pasta that I havent settled on yet. Possibly, fettucine, with a marinara and alfredo sauces for those who dont like one or the other. Dessert: Real Cannolis, made with fresh ricotta cheese, sugar, sherry, and chopped chocholate bits.
I hit 47 with my paladin yesterday, and I am also halfway through the level as well, so my goal of hitting 50, might be attainable. Today is going to consist of cleaning the apartment before tomorrow, so that should be exiciting.

Thursday, April 14, 2005

My B-day went alright, I suppose. Sat around in the morning/early afternoon before work. Didnt do much then. Went to work, which was a total waste of my time. Then came home, went to this 'italian' place called Carrabas down the street. It was a little prciey for the average food. I most likely wont go back for dinner anytime, but I saw that they had Tiramisu, so I might go back for that. Came home watched some TV with the GF, and that was about the extent of it. TOnight, I am most likely going to see a local radio station who threw a band together. I am sure they arent very good, but I might be able to get in before they start charging, I hope, and I think it will be interesting.
I saw that the city of Detroit is thinking of charging for the DEMF/Movement Festival this year. 5 Bux a head. Man this thing has just gone down the hole. I know there were all kinds of problem with the 2 promoters the firt year getting along, and the 2nd year one of them dropped off, and then half of the DJ's decided not to come as well. I know that the lady running it now has not been paying bills at all in some cases and usually just VERY VERY late. Its sad that something that was considered maybe the premier Techno Festival in the US, is now turning into this. Very sad, in my opinion.
On a World of Warcraft side note. I have been trying to arrange a raid for next week with another guild, but I think that so many people in our guild had a bad experience with the last raid that went on, that they are turned off by the idea. I am not sure, but sign ups have been slow. I am closing on level 47. I should be able to get there today, if I just buckle down and play some.
Got dinner planned for this weekend with my Dad, my brother, his GF, and I think my dads new female friend. Not sure whos all coming. I plan on making Manicotti, fresh green beans, and a red sauce and a white sauce for those who dont like one or the other. I want to also make cannoli for dessert, I will have to go shopping for that later. Anyways, thats all for now. Afternoon.

Happy Birthday to me, happy birthday to me.

Well, its that day. My 32nd birthday. Not to bad I suppose. I really dont feel older. I have to work for a little while today, just a couple hours hopefully, then I have a week off for my vacation. It will be so nice to not have to work for a week. Picked up the new VNV Nation Album-Matter and Form. So far I like what I am hearing. Looking forward to maybe going up north for a night or two, it would be nice to get away even if its not to far away. I would like to hit the Zoo while I am off, maybe a Tigers Game, and a Pistons game if I can afford it. I want to make sure to buy myself something nice, not sure what. I do know that when my income tax checks get here, I am getting a bottle of Absinthe, and a new video card. Oh well, not sure what else to say right now, so I suppose I am done.

Ho Hummm...

Well, I saw that everyone was keeping a blog, so I figured I would try and keep mine updated now. I have a vacation from work starting in a day, so I figured it shouln't be to hard. I suppose if people are going to read it, then it's worth it. new VNV Nation album comes out today, once I finish my coffee I will head out and get it, I suppose. Picked up SPy vs. Spy yesterday, gave it a quick play, looks promising. Lots of stuff I wanna get done on my vacation. Hit 50, in WoW. Read this Treasures Trove book that I picked up long ago and haven't even touched. MAybe go up north in Michigan for a day or two. Not sure. Well, I suppose thats it for my update for now.

Weekly Maintenance

I figure I will use the weekly maintenance as a chance to actually do something usefull with my time. I fixed my settings for MLB 2K5, and now I am very happy with the way the baseball game works. Though I think there may still be a few to many pitches passed the catcher. More games will tell. I was playing through Dawn of War some more, but power went out for about 2 minutes and I hadnt saved since I had just started building a army to attack the next point. As far as WoW. Might be moving on to a ALT on Stormreaver with some friends that I used to play with in EQ. We shall see.
Star Wars...Hmmm, looks promising, but didnt they all? Anyways. That's it for now, I think.
